I’ve been visiting websites as part of my work. My work requires me to look for local websites that have potential tie-ups with the company. Usually, what I check is how much traffic a particular local website is getting. I based them in   three categories: low volume, mid volume, and high volume. Basically, once I get a website prospect to tie-up with, I reach to the owner come up with an X deal that may help both parties. The setup usually depends on the weight of the deal, if they offer more of course we match it from our end.

So one website that really caught my eye is Lazada Philippines. I actually like what this company is doing for our online local industry. They are actually changing the online trend here in the Philippines. The locals are now becoming open minded on trying to shop online. These saves them time, money, and even get great deals that a conventional offline mall won’t offer. They even offer contest or games that will land you to a deal that will be worth your time, plus you get to enjoy while you participate on their website contests.

It’s pretty amazing how other new local businesses are launching their own website to join this online shopping madness that Filipinos are getting addicted to. Actually, to be honest, I think we are already late on this kind of trend as for international countries. These online E-commerce industry is already a common thing, but for us this is new and every exciting.

Ok! A lot of website are out there, but what does Lazada have that make them standout? One thing for sure is that they bring great experience to any online users whom have visited their website. At first glance, anyone can recognize where their selection is located, what are their top products, what products do they have discount, and best of all they a virtual shopping cart that allows you to pick your items all throughout their selection have them checked before proceeding to check out. Their you will see which items have you chosen and should you want to remove or add more, it will be easy as one click.

On the checkout page, they offer what type of method would you want to pay them, this maybe through Dragonpay, via Credit Card or their most popular payment method, Cash on Delivery. Their Cash on Delivery method for me is the one that actually made them popular and made their E-commerce penetration here in the Philippines successful. Without this method, I think it would have been tougher for them get whatever huge number of sales they are getting now.

Another thing I noticed when you logged in on their website (you will eventually need to create an account on their website when you bought an item from them; you would want to, more on that to follow), You can actually view your order history on their website and even check the status of your current order. It actually gives you all the information you need from Lazada.

Sadly, even if Lazada is an excellent website to tie up with, websites that my company can tie-up with are usually related to local entertainment. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my visit with Lazada Philippines. It actually led me to try their service out.  Got the item three days later, I’m currently using it now, my new laptop.
